Job description
As the EU BD Lead for Precision Medicine, you will be responsible for the strategic development of business plans for Top 40 Pharma across our specialty lab portfolio. You are a consummate BD professional with a relentless ambition and a ‘get things done’ attitude. You are expected to have a broad and comprehensive knowledge of all matters related to the business with an eye towards identifying new sales prospects and developing existing markets as well as developing a global team. You will manage a team of European Business Development professionals reporting to the VP of Precision Medicine. You will be critical in the hiring process to help expand the global team. You are energetic with a proven track record of driving business results by combining strategic thinking and sharp execution and ready to take the next step.
You have excellent knowledge of drug development and understand challenges inherent to the biomarker development and precision medicine. You understand how to develop and nurture strategic relationships that move beyond transactional interactions and position Cerba Research for success as a trusted partner for large pharma. You understand how to navigate the various stakeholders across translational and clinical teams and how to challenge and create space for Cerba Research to provide value and not just a budget.

Requirements
- You have a Master degree in Life Sciences or equivalent business experience
- You have strong knowledge of drug development, biomarker development and precision medicine and a strong background in business development
- Leadership – Proven leadership skills, while effectively influencing senior management on key decisions and direction relative to contribution to client deliverables
- Communication – Must possess the ability to clearly convey ideas & information, both orally and in writing, to business sponsors and partners, technical resources and executives
- Coaching – Effective coaching, persuasion and mentoring skills
- Commercial – Excellent customer relationship management skills and strong commercial acumen
- Team Working – Strong skills in eliciting cooperation from senior management and other departments
- Planning – ability to be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements
- Analytical – Perform business performance analyses, market and competitive analyses, consumer behaviour analyses across the business
- Strategy – Excellent Business awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business.
